Kopa Trophy Winners: The Kopa Trophy is an award given by the French magazine France Football since 2018. It is for the best U21 player of the year. It is presented alongside the Ballon d’Or, Ballon d’Or féminin, the Yashin Trophy, and the Gerd Müller Trophy. The trophy is named after Raymond Kopa, the first French player to win the Ballon d’Or in 1958.
Only past Ballon d’Or winners can vote for the award. Initially, the award was based on the previous calendar year, but since 2022, it is considered the previous European season.
A similar award is the Golden Boy, given by Tuttosport since 2003, but it is only for players in European leagues.
