Career

Today, Chris Pratt is a popular actor in Hollywood, but he started small. He was born on June 21, 1979, in Virginia, Minnesota, and is the youngest child of Kathleen and Daniel Pratt, who died in 2014.

When Chris was three, his family moved to Lake Stevens, Washington. He graduated high school in 1997 and always believed he would be rich and famous.

After college, Chris worked as a ticket seller and stripper but became homeless in Maui. He was discovered by actress Rae Dawn Chong while working at a restaurant, and she cast him in the short film Cursed Part 3 in 2000.

He then landed a role in the TV series Everwood. In 2005, he appeared in Strangers with Candy, but he lost money on that project. His big break came in 2009 with the show Parks and Recreation, where he played Andy Dwyer.

To play Scott Hatteberg in Moneyball, Chris lost 14 kg, changing his image to a more serious actor. He continued to act in comedic roles, including Peter Quill/Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy and the Jurassic World series. He also voiced Emmet in The LEGO Movie.

Chris Pratt’s Blockbuster Earnings: How Much Does He Make Per Film?

In 2013, Chris Pratt earned $580,000 for his roles in Her and Delivery Man. By 2018, his earnings skyrocketed, making $15 million combined for Avengers: Infinity War and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

His individual movie fees are also known. For his role as Owen Grady in Jurassic World (the fourth film in the Jurassic Park series), he earned $10 million. For Passengers, where he starred alongside Jennifer Lawrence, Pratt earned even more—$12 million. This was a big jump from the $2.4 million he made in 2014 for Guardians of the Galaxy and The LEGO Movie.

In 2017, Forbes ranked Pratt as the 16th highest-paid actor in the world. He is the youngest actor to ever make it into the list of the 100 highest-paid actors.

How Chris Pratt Earns Millions Outside Hollywood

Chris Pratt not only makes money from acting but also from product endorsements and advertising, such as his promotion for Michelob Ultra during the 2018 Super Bowl. He also earns from sponsored posts and public speaking. For each public appearance, including a speech, Pratt can earn around $200,000.

Chris Pratt’s Car Collection

Unlike some other celebrities, Chris Pratt isn’t overly flashy, but he has the money to be if he wants to. This makes it hard to know what cool cars he has in his garage since he doesn’t brag about them on his social media accounts.
